Fall Finance and Accounting Intern (part-time)

Assist the Audit Manager, Director of Accounting and the Director of Finance in accounting and financial analysis, processes and procedures.

Essential Functions:

Support Treasury and Financial Planning and Analysis Team

  • Preparation and management of A/R Sales documentation and file management
  • Retrieve and compile daily bank and treasury inputs for further analysis – Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable projections
  • Download and monitor aluminum metal prices from LME and Platts
  • Retrieve and compile daily bank and treasury inputs for further analysis
  • Daily monitoring and updating of LME, Midwest Premium and Alloy metal prices daily for tracking and monitoring
  • Ad-hoc projects as assigned

Support Internal Audit and Accounting Team

  • Scanning of departmental documents and invoices into electronic file management system
  • Record retention support and management
  • Capital document preparation and file management
  • Policy and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) review management
  • Board of Director consent and meeting minutes filing and preparation
  • Support input of Supplier updates in Oracle
  • Mail tax filings and support patents and trademark management

Position Requirements

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate standing within Accounting or Finance
  • Prior office experience or related internship of additional value
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail
